Sitting in the shade
of the deepest thank you
lies an i love you.
Confused by meaning
and doubtful of honesty
yet wishing for truth,
it becomes hopeful.
With a heart of forgiveness
amid the grace of God,
a soul rests in peace
finally more couragous
than the love it feared.
I don't write poetry very often. And when I do, it never seems to be any good. To me at least. But then again, I'm not a big fan of poetry to begin with. So, thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy my poetry.

The Haiku Experiment - August 2009
The Haiku Experiment
The dark morning sky
so filled with the moon and stars
fought the coming sun.
~
Feet crunching gravel
Music blasting soundlessly
Birds scatter above
~
Blue glass against blue sky
Sun reflects off green water
Stopped in tracks on trail
~
I know who I am
Juliet to Romeo
Wordlessly unsaid
~
A flash of lightening
In a cloudless star-filled sky
Trees bent by chaos
~
luck blown in the wind
chance hidden before the eyes
until warmed by touch
~
Cool sheets warm the soul
Amid lawless anarchy
Calmed by dreams of her.
